I want this to be good because I loved the books even the last one which was a bit wobbly ,and I'm enjoying the acting but , they have already deviated from the source material so much . Amy was strange to begin with and the vampires were monsters , insect like , I have no idea what the producers are thinking , the books were unlike anything I've ever read , if they wanted to make a vampire show fine but don't screw up this material , it deserves better Update: kind off flipped on this series ,mainly because of carter's storyline. In the book his arc was really compelling , particularly around the viral he became .Also Babcock (him)was a real monster before being turned and yet here they tried to make (her) into a sympathetic character.A big part of the original 12 was the people they were before informed the type of viral they became ,they are losing this nuance. This is going to take another 10 years or more before it gets remade and hopefully properly. There's a reason people love these books , the story telling is brilliant and the scope of the novels is epic , Marvel comics stuck to cannon because that what built their fan base and they sprung off that, they have the source material in this they shouldn't have wander so far away. NETFLIX if you are after IP buy this and make it. It is a huge story with a massive timeline, lots of episodes over lots of seasons

One of the most underrated show's on TV , great cast , clever writing , they have managed to keep the central plot ( time travel save the world )interesting , the characters have depth and are believable as a team.
