I liked this movie because I have enjoyed Eastwood over many years. Seeing him aging in this movie brought some sadness and self reflection. Some people reacted to his political incorrectness as a negative (as an aside I think PC strangles us as a nation). Eastwood’s behavior rather than his words are kind and caring. I think “Mule” had two meanings: the drug carrier and the “stubborn as”. I wondered how he could work for the cartels even for generous purposes. I think he pled guilty, perhaps unnecessarily in our modern courts, because he clearly realized that he was guilty of crimes and not just a Robin Hood doing good.
