If your looking for a show that even resembles your childhood show winx club like i was then this is NOT the show for you. I understand they had to change some stuff up but leaving out many characters and completely changing everything about the characters original personalities. The core of the original winx show was the friendship and unbreakable bond between the girls and yet that is nowhere in this new one, in fact i didn't even think they seemed like friends at all. Alfea is supposed to be a safe place thats purpose was to teach of support their students but instead its a very toxic environment and the headmistress isn't as supportive and caring for her stupids and especially bloom as the original. This is not a unique show at all. All the characters are all about social media, sex, drugs, and the stereotypical teens in all YA shows. I was glad it only had a few epsiodes because it was boring and i wasn't sure how long i could stand they way they acted and spoke. It simply felt fake and i was offended the writers thought that was what teens/YA are actually like. Most of the time i wasn't even sure what side bloom was supposed to be on and why she was so reckless. Bloom didn't have even remotely the same relationship with her parents, and neither did stella. And the original winx show was so diverse with layla/aisha, musa, and flora all being different races and Fate just white washed everyone exept layla/aisha. Even the specialists had some diversity in the original with Brandon, and naboo (sorry if i spelled it wrong) yet only 2 of the specialists are show and they are both white. Also its only a more minor thing but if this is supposed to be a more YA show then why do all the girls look to be dressed as someone more towards their 30s maybe. And they all only where 1 color (i.e. fire fairy always wears red, water fairy blue, earth fairy green, etc). Overall i was really excited to see a live action remake of winx club was going to ve made but sadly in the end was very disappointed and really felt hurt that this is what they thought winx club was essentially like and this is what real fans on winx club would have wanted.
