Definitely not the best, but it wasn’t the worst. It had sweet movements to keep it from being just a slapstick comedy. I’m not sure what people mean about the cussing, I personally get turned off with excessive cussing and at no point did I notice that. I’d say if you aren’t overly critical and don’t expect anything but mindless fluff, it’s fine.

I loved this show! I didn’t know what to expect since I am not normally a Marvel fan, but it exceeded expectations. Cast was great & I wish we could see more of them and their stories; I wanted more. Agatha was the perfect villain; evil with hints of sentiment & a heart deep, deep, deep down. Kathryn played her wonderfully and I couldn’t help but like her even if I wouldn never trust her… The music, setting, and ambience gave a good vibe to the whole show. Very entertaining. I really hope we see more of Agatha and cast.

Such a great movie, I enjoyed the nostalgia. It has been awhile since I read the book, but from what I remember, it seemed pretty faithful to it. I LOVE that they kept the setting in 1970. Any attempt to modernize it would have ruined it. The casting was perfect and pacing g was great. I know it sounds cheesy, but I enjoyed the light-hearted wholesomeness of it. It was such a perfect break from so many heavier movies. Great movies to go with the girls or mothers and daughters.

Very cute movie, didn't really have any expectations, but I found it very entertaining. A lot of the criticism I read here sounds like it's from die hard SH loyalists or people who don't seem to know this was based on a YA series and were expecting more classic Holmes. The target is more family/young people so if you're expecting serious PBS-style plot, you'll be sorely disappointed. To me it seems like it is what it is - a fun action/adventure for young people vs. hard core mystery solving. This isn't Benedict Cumberland's Sherlock Holmes. MBB did an excellent job! I mean, I liked her in Stranger Things but still saw her as a child actor. She really shines in this and shows she has range and a lot of charisma. Yes, there is a somewhat female-power theme but I don't feel it was shoved down my throat and I'm usually aware or annoyed by that. She wasn't some rah rah women empowerment, she just was who she was, which would be unusual for the times in a female (or probably even in a boy).
