Lovely art direction, creepy atmosphere, yet an exceedingly frustrating and cumbersome game. While it is well done and I enjoyed it overall, a lot of the mechanics are just annoying and the game is extremely tedious. Six or more tries through the same scene, a slightly misplaced jump means death and slow restart, unclear and clumsy controls, items that you need to use to progress through enemy scenes are ridiculously frustrating, and wonky controls. Would a second play through make more sense? Sure. Will I do it? No. I can’t risk throwing my controller through the TV at my age.
