Somehow the producers/directors seem to have forgotten that the audience came to be thrilled and excited, not just to be bored for two hours. Full marks to young Ferdie who, despite a really admirable effort, just wasn't quite good enough at acting to salvage anything useful from the wreckage of what had been a good story because those around him had already savaged the whole thing beyond redemption.
