A great game.
**SPOILERS**
Metroid dread is something fans have been wanting for almost 20 years.
The movement is slick and controls feel intuitive.
Although it can be a challenge at parts there are always ways to get around that 2 bosses I've seen people struggle the most are kraid and experiment No Z 57
But if you are struggling on them you can just go to another place for kraid and pick up the morph bomb in Dairon to instantly kill him in the second phase and with the experiment you can kill it instantly with a shinespark.
However the price tag might seem a bit large for only around 10 hours of gameplay but saying metroid dread only is worth one playthrough isnt correct to fully 100% the game you need to 100% all areas and beat normal and hard mode within 4 hours which if you do everything right totals up to 3 playthroughs where you improve every time and hone your skills so it is really based on how long you are willing to play the game as for the speed running elements for the achievement you can find different ways to improve.
But now to tackle the criticism.
Some people say the game is just to hard but when has metroid be easy metroidvanias tend to be a very hard genre where you can expect to die to a boss alot like ALOT but although it takes time you will be able to do it and if you arent up to the challenge go play ori instead for an easier metroidvania experience.
Emmi zones are annoying but it's supposed to be like that it is supposed to be scary its supposed to make you constantly need to run but same as the difficulty you can improve and if you dont want to play ori it's a good game
And lastly is the controls which confuses me but I think the game doesnt really need control remapping because it is made is a way that for a reason and it would have too many things to remap
But conclusion great game but not for people who dont like a challenge or have something better to do
