We get a new type of Batman, villains, and allies. It's not trying to be hyper realistic like Nolan, or goofy like Schumacher, or over-the-top twisted like Burton. Pattinson managed to hold his own as this different Batman; I was surprised by how little I saw him as Cedric or Edward tbh.
It didn't spoon feed the audience information that we already know or could easily deduce ourselves. It reminds me of the experience of reading a recent graphic novel, the colors, striking visual effects that are reminiscent of comic panels, not entirely "real world" physics, etc.
5/5 for managing to be fun, violent, and new!
