Maybe because the trailers created too much expectation, the movie was deceiving. Very linear and predictable plot, with "logic" holes all over the place and mistakes (like cars driving on the right side of the street, then on the left, then on the right again). The acting skills of the main character seemed unprofessional, specially at the beginning of the movie. All this being said, there were a few jokes that were ok, and some fun details for fans of the original pokemon games like myself (but they could have done so much more!). Pikachu is clearly the star of the movie, and the actor who puts his voice does a really good job. But overall I would not recommend this movie.
