Fredo Viola

An intensely moving masterpiece, I return to The Apartment every few years and it puts me in touch with very deep and somewhat existential emotions within myself. It’s so brilliantly written, cast, acted, shot and (obviously) directed that it can be watched on so many levels, even just as pure entertainment. But this film, made so many years ago, is as fresh today as it was back in its day, and stirs up such deep emotions and thoughts. A great treasure.
