I am a straight white conservative man and yet I enjoyed, and can easily recommend this film. While I can't truly connect with the gay elements and emotions of the film, the themes of love and loss and human mortality all resonate with me as a human being. It is touching and funny without being really vulgar or sexually explicit in it's content. A great all around film for older teens to adults. At 78 years old, I think this is Udo Kier's best work in a long career of over 220 films. Not many actors can make that claim. Slow moving but worth the watch. 4/5 stars ++
