Phenomenal acting and special effects that were revolutionary for their time and still hold up to this day. From the opening shot to the ambiguous ending, The Thing keeps you on the edge of your seat while still holding its own in the aspects of character development and in depth story telling. The remote location furthered the isolated feeling. The soundtrack, simplistic yet effective combined with the ideas of human extinction and isolation, come together to create this masterpiece of a movie.
