Watched, and suffered through the first episode, will watch no more. Every character shouts and yells at each other. It is edited in such a way that you never get to see a shot for more than one second. One character pulls a gun on a crowd of people, shoots it into the air, and has zero consequences from it. I used to live in Chicago. These food places are all over. Sometimes a new owner comes in and changes things, and these places fail, and fail quickly. Why would you go to a place that used to make food to your liking, but now is different? Why would you go to a place that is no good when you can literally walk a block and find another? Why would you change the formula for a proven cash cow? The food might be better your way, but it's not leading to a successful business. The character seems to have the idea, I am a chef I know what better food tastes like. This may be true, but the existing food was fine and profitable. The swearing is a bit much and seems out of character. Not everyone who is poor and lives in Chicago is stupid and swears every other word. I worked in commercial kitchens for years and, yes, there is a good amount of swearing, but not this much. Yes, kitchens can be chaos, but not the way its shown. The plot with the video game was not good. "It's a fighter and a side scroller, it's too hard." These used to be called beat em ups. Double dragon, Simpsons Arcade, Ninja Turtles Arcade, X Men Arcade, Golden Axe, Alienstorm, etc. I get that the show didn't want to have to pay for a gaming name and likeness license, but try harder. Perhaps the writer of this story line is a new gamer that doesn't know what a hard game is really like. One that has always had 3D graphics, working controls, and the internet to help them when they get stuck. Make it a generic fighting game and call it, big fight or something simple. Too much effort went into this and I felt it did not pay off at all. The only thing I liked about the show was that you didn't see the sun once. This is true of Chicago. You never see the sun, and I will never see this show again.
