2020 film at its finest.... I was so excited to go back to the movie theater for the first time since March, and this was such a let down. I'm usually a fan of Nolan's films, but this was beyond confusing. It was outrageously loud and jumped all over the place. Maybe if I watched it 3 more times, I'd appreciate it more, but I could barely make it halfway through the grueling 2.5 film the first time. As I was fully prepared to leave the theater an hour and a half in, all I could think is: Why are we crashing a plane into a building? Which country are we in now? Who is Robert Pattinson supposed to be? Who is this Russian woman, and why do I care about her son? Wow :/ the waves are going backwards. Wow... the smoke is going backwards.... A bullet went backwards too... This must be a reverse scene. Cool, I guess but a plot would be nice. Unfortunately I can't go back in time and have my Sunday afternoon back.
