This show has a lot of potential. I will say going in, especially as such a huge HIMYM fan, I expected to be disappointed because the bar is set pretty high. I liked it and appreciated the little touches from HIMYM such as the apartment set up. As of now, I don't love it, but I do like it. I do think some of the script and characters and overall chemistry could use some work. Some lines were just too cringy and lacked any wit or even humour. Jesse's sister, Ellen, lacked depth and it was really hard to like her character- very overdramatized in a tacky sitcom manner. I appreciate the diversity in the cast but hope to see more chemistry between them as right now that is lacking. Some lines were pretty witty and I found myself laughing aloud. I'm excited to see where they take it and I hope it continues to grow and improve over time.
