SPOILER REVIEW:
The title of the movie should be named stupidity kills, because that’s the only thing doing the real killing in this movie, it’s not Haddonfield vs Myers, it’s the PTSD breakfast club vs Myers.
The gore is fantastic, tension build up is great but Myers, who hasn’t taking a fight class in his life is able to dismember 11 whole fire fighters without breaking a sweat after escaping from a flaming house, being shot, losing fingers, being stabbed, and later on after being beat WWE style with objects across his back surprisingly gets up with ease, and with no surprise and kills the whole group that just beat him down with ease, it’s starting to break the ever stretching band of suspense of belief, and with Laurie’s final speech, and the value of the Myers house and Micheals standing spot, it seems the only direction to go is down supernatural path.
Everyone chants “Evil dies tonight” but no one actually takes a kill shot, even when he’s laying face down in the middle of the street seemingly unconscious.
All editing skills went out the window in the last 20 minutes of the film and I suggest a directors cut be released because the movie started out strong and ended with a whimper.
I guess they really want a third movie.
