Who will like this show? 1. You never saw the original OR saw the original but are open to a reboot of the show and not a remake. 2. You don't mind liberal views interjected into your sci fi fantasy shows...bc what's hotter than a border patrol alien who despises breaking apart families? 3. You are LGBTQIA+ or a strong ally of LGBTQIA+ and want to see a disproportionate representation of such characters on your shows. The only two likable characters on the show are actually the two LGBTQIA characters. 4. You think angry/aggressive women = strong female leads. (Note this isn't the norm...see quick witted pocket sized Veronica Mars or Buffy or Joey from Dawson's Creek for examples.) AND/OR 5. You are so enamored for one of the above reasons and don't really question when characters do bizarre inexplicable things ex. when the female lead gives you whiplash, going from warm fuzzy feelings for her alien love to thinking he's a murderer within minutes. Who will NOT like this show? 1. You were a die hard fan of the original Roswell, especially of Michael and Maria and are expecting more of the same. 2. Regardless of what political view you hold, you don't like politics shoved down your throat in a sci-fi show and find that it pulls you out of the escape you so desired. 3. You either don't want to see LGBTQIA characters or are cool with them but don't see the need to have 5% of the population represented as 30% of the characters on your shows. 4. Your idea of a strong female lead is one with quick wit like Buffy or Veronica Mars, not some angry aggressive for no reason chick. AND/OR 5. You have some modicum of intellect and find it jarring when characters act illogically for the sake of moving the plot along.
