Matthew Rhys gives a great acting performance in this film noir. In the old Perry Mason series Burr's performance was well done, hence, not close to Matthew Rhys in the new version of the dark persona he needs to act. Too many people are comparing the old version with the new; they shouldn't, they are too different, they truly live a half a century from each other. Filmmaking is undeniable the biggest gap in this show. I give this 4 stars because of Matthew Rhys impeccable acting.
