This game speaks it’s own dialect in the same language. It reintroduced me to the familiar mechanics I’ve seen in other hits.
As far as the mechanics of the game it’s pretty smooth, I like that when the weapon wheel is up you don’t need to stress because everything is slowed down, while also still giving motion control to Deacon, the crafting in this mode is also something not new but is a convenient tool to have. Shooting reminds me a lot of the last of us, there are ways to improve it later on, but like last of us and red dead, this game teaches you to value the ammo and accuracy because one missed shot could mean life or death.
I’ve seen a lot of reviews talking about this character being a deplorable human, it’s confusing to me how critics seem to think that a person who has lived the lifestyle that he has, goes only two years after an event such as this and expect him to be some kind of heroic entity in the world.
If you are looking for something fun, an original story, with an original character Days Gone is a perfect addition to an open minded gamer’s collection.
