(Spoilers for the Light Novel)
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this light novel because we got to see Sakura and how she's doing post Great War. I find her character to be so cool and it was a shame that this story wasn't animated in the end. I really like the take towards creating therapy centres for children around the "world", to help them recover from mental health issues or trauma they may have obtained during the War. It was nice to have this linked to Kido's childhood: how his childhood was difficult because of the death of his father whomst put his hospital costs towards Kido's academy payment, as a result, emotionally scarring him and feeding his lust for money. I liked the teamwork and interaction we got between Sakura, Ino and Sai.
My favourite part of the story was when Sakura and Naruto had a moment, after she taught kids taki (?). Naruto comforting Sakura in terms of Sasuke not coming back to the village ever since his Fake was swarming around the land was really cute and very in character of him. It was a sweet moment between two characters I feel are great friends with eachother.
I'm also super glad that Sakura defeated kido by herself, alone. It not only shows how strong sakura is but how smart and strategic she is of a fighter. It would have been really entertaining to watch if animated!
I suppose it would have been great to actually see proper interactions between Sasuke and Sakure. However, reading this made me understand their relationship even more. I've learnt that Sakura has great faith in Sasuke, from the very beginning. The words "Thank you" to sakura just before Sasuke left obviously is a great deal between the two as he wouldn't just say that to anyone else. I also like how Sakura realises how much they have grown together (even though they haven't physically been in eachother presence much). eg. from calling Sakura 'annoying' to telling her that he'd 'see her soon'. It's some very subtle growth and development, if any to be honest. It gives me some understanding that these two were meant to be from the start. Sakura: fully expressive towards Sasuke vs, Sasuke: the complete opposite. In the story, Sasuke handles the Anbu that were trying to escape with the drug but doesn't pay any of his friends, or Sakura a visit. However, Sakura is content with this. Again, she's presenting some faith towards the person she loves and after being unsure that he'd come back, she's hopeful it will be 'soon'.
