Game is exceptionally made. I am playing with my partner and enjoying every bit of it. She sucks a bit at shooting so I wish some of the guns could be swappable between characters būt we managed.
Story wise it's a bit too much trauma bonding enabling suggesting that's a way to fix relationship. That said, it matches what a kid would fantasize as a way to fix relationship.
Character development wise, Mei is pretty awful and so far in the story hasn't really improved. On one hand writers are trying to empower women as career focused engineers but on the other hand they let Mei keep toxic feminity traits. Cody is shown as stay at home father but lacking depth on how much he cares and is aware of his daughter's needs. So writers are quick to reverse back to classic trope of angry wife and goofball husband which is a shame seeing how much they wanted to break classic stereotypes. But overall the story is well written, just not as well as it could be.
