I thought Karim was AMAZING tonight. his attack of the passo was appropriate, his pace and focus, his posture, his arms and hand placements, his precision and, of-course, his athleticism. I understand that there may not have been so much light and dark shades in the delivery but that is, surely, down to the choreography!! Karim is a BORN dancer! time and again I see the amateurs being marked down for poor choreography. so I really don't know what some of the judges were looking at there.
Secondly, I've noticed that Craig seems to always give Anton poor marks. It makes me think that he has something against Anton. Craig gave better marks to others there were NOT as good as Anton and his partner. There's something wrong there.
Thirdly, Kelvin's long leather jacket obscured his body so much that we were not able to see the quality of his dance movements, which spoilt it I think, good though it was.
Finally, the show itself sometimes has more Hei di Hei and Butlins cabaret than a 'dance' competition for my liking. it's a bit too slap stick. I realise that it's an entertainment show but it is supposed to be a dance competition, not a cabaret.
However, I am glad to see that the judges give constructive chriticism to the dancers. I think we can easily forget that these amateur dancers learn their routine's in one week and are often working etc inbetween. It always amazes me!
