Playing on a PS4 slim, extremely glitchy on current gen. I find myself having to reload saves constantly due to game-breaking bugs. Important NPCs refusing to spawn during quests, misplaced quest markers, missing interaction prompts, consistent crashes. Raven, horseback riding and fast-travel disabled for no discernable reason. Eivor spawns piss drunk when waking up or reloading a save. Textures and audio are consistently bugged. Facial animations wouldn't look out of place in 2012. Storyline is pedantic and uninteresting. Not sure why dialogue options exist, the missions are entirely linear and have zero choice in outcome based on these dialogue options. Storyline consistently forces Eivor to make poor decisions, then guilts you for it as if the choice was yours to make. Characters are numerous and carbon copies of one another. I often have a hard time differentiating between them. Do not buy for current gen, and wait for next gen and PC to patch things out. Really sick of the consistent "release half a game at full price" trend that has recently come about. I didnt pay $100 for the steelbook to be a beta tester. Redeeming qualities are the soundtrack and the exploration system. Assets feel more organic and varied than in Odyssey or Origins, I'm thankful not to raid the same camp format 150 times again. NPCs are also more varied in appearance, if not in personality (or lack thereof).
