Just watched this movie yesterday, so thought that I should give my honest review for this movie.
So, I saw this movie's trailer last month and what was actually disappointing was that just before watching the movie, I re-watched the prequel on T-Series' YT channel. Hardly had I ever expected that the movie's plot would turn out to be something else: trust me, it was whole different than what I had anticipated while watching the trailer. Special thanks to Tabu, the life of this movie, who made this movie worth watching!
The jokes cracked in this movie are mediocre, however the movie keeps you fully engaged for the whole 2 hours. Karthik Aaryan, unlike all his movies, has tried to deliver his good acting skills here, though nothing different has been observed in his way of cracking dialogues. He's still that man from Pyaar Ka Panchnama, but fortunately he has not tried to be like Eminem here, and has justified the role very properly. Kiara Advani has played one of the most important characters in this movie, Reet, and has also succeeded in justifying the role and delivering the perfection. But honestly I feel like she needed to deliver more perfection into it, like she did in portraying roles like that of Preeti from Kabir Singh and Dimple Kaur from Shershah (no one can play these two characters as well as she did).
While both of the leads have acted very well, Tabu is the one who steals the show. Also, the ending of the movie is just something that blows your mind. The plot is very simple and good. And the VFX is amazing!
Please don't compare it with the prequel's brilliance, as the plot is completely different from it.
Even though the songs are not good, the background music is perfectly executed.
I honestly rate this movie 3.9/5 stars.
