No. Just...no! An admirable idea and no doubt we'll intentioned but it just didn't work for me. I love the early years of doctor who. They were long before I was born but I love them for their charm, atmosphere and scripts. It's always been interesting to wonder how they would look in colour. Now we know. Cheap and rubbish like some bad 50s b movie. The colour is trashy and garish and shows up the programmes cheapness that the b&w helped hide and make look moody. Worst of all though is the edit. 7 episodes cut down to an easily consumable 70 odd minutes? Sounds quite good. It's not though. The pace of the original might put off some younger/ newer viewers but how many of them are likely to watch it anyway? Instead you get a rushed story that zips along but in doing so loses all the heart of the original and barely makes sense. The new music that's been inserted is awful and distracting and some of the cuts just make it look like a comedy YouTube clip show. Not a fan. Although some of the updates special effects, particularly the daleks ray guns, we're quite fun. On the other hand the original 7 part "proper" b&w serial I'd give a happy 4 stars to.

Enjoyable little home invasion/ slasher hybrid with a gimmicky COVID backdrop. It's nothing special but a decent and entertaining fun flick for horror fans. The protagonists aren't particularly likeable and are barely sketched but they mostly act fairly smart and put up a good fight against the rather silly baddies. There's some good chases. Cool fight scenes. Decent tension. Nasty bits of explicit gore and a couple of reasonably effective set pieces and the inevitable jump scares. It's all very familiar and has been done more effectively before but that's fine. Not every film needs to be the best. Some will love it. Some will hate it but most horror fans will probably enjoy it at the time although probably promptly forget it a few weeks later. Worth a watch.

Alot of people really love this one. Much is said about how wild, scary and unpredictable it is. Personally, I didn't get that from it. It's reasonably suspenseful and well acted by all concerned but the story is obvious and requires way too much suspension of disbelief into the stupid character decisions. It's fairly good but ultimately just another daft monster in the basement film. Worth a watch but nothing exceptional.

Joan Collins gets menaced by a murderous and sleazy dwalf who has possessed her baby. Donald Pleasance and Caroline Munro are in it too. Even Floella Benjamin pops in to join the party. At the end of the day though it's down to Eileen Atkins, playing a nun, to use her nun magic to win the day. An entertaining if somewhat run of the mill slice of 70s lunacy. Probably considered offensive by many today.

Entertaining and well acted by a likeable cast. Not scary or gorey but pleasant, endearing and interesting.

Like an episode of the Walking Dead. Only with cannibals. And actually entertaining. With an actual ending.

Fun mix of old fashioned slasher and very well made modern arty, or elevated if you will, horror flick. Great acting, solid tension building, decent gore, something to say and just beautiful to look at. Well worth a watch. Oh, and there's sex and nudity if you like that kind of thing.

Fun, cheesy little low budget monster movie. Not great but entertaining with a likeable cast doing their best. I enjoyed it.
