[SPOILERS AHEAD]
Honestly, I’m disappointed. This game has caused tons of issues. Although it has great graphics and (i guess) a cool plot, there is still so much missing from a fnaf game perspective. First of all just the overall scariness is missing. This is what I feared most when I heard this game was coming. Although the other fnaf games used cheap jumpscares to get you to jump, at least they actually got you to jump. This one is much different, it is much more a story game than anything else. In my opinion it should just be called “*One* Night *With* Freddy”, because that is what it is. You are no longer a security guard at Freddy’s pizzeria, but a child who teams up with him to escape the other animatronics that are for some reason trying to kill you, yet freddy is just your friend, not to mention it isn’t even a pizzeria anymore. My second take is that the direction on where to go and what to do is sometimes extremely confusing. I wandered for about an hour in the first section to find the “upgrade booth” until eventually giving up and looking up how to find it. And to my surpise it was sitting in the corner in some room and had no indication as to where it was. However this could just be a me problem, since (and I admit) I am pretty clueless. I’m not sure if anybody else had issues finding where to go, but I love to explore the areas, and a lot of the time there was just no indication of where to go. I understand things like the daycare, you have to find the generators on your own before he catches you, and thats fine. But when the objective says “Find Freddy.” And you dont have a map unlocked (which I am not sure why you don’t just unlock it from the start, it would make the game 10x better), it is pretty difficult to just “find him” especially when you like to explore the game like me, I end up checking everywhere except where I need to go, which wastes so much time. My next point, although some may disagree, is that the game is ridiculously easy. The hardest part in this game, as previously mentioned, is to find where to go. The animatronics are slow enough that you can sprint away from them, let your sprint cooldown go all the way back up, then keep sprinting without being caught. After 1 or 2 deaths the current ‘animatronic area’, if you will, is a breeze. And not to mention the parts where you arent running from the animatronics, for example the room with the 4 doors and you have to shock gator and chica when they are banging on the specific door, things like that are way to easy due to the amount of ample time you have to shock them. So, in conclusion, although the game has a good artistic side(and it really is pretty, my mouth was wide open the first 10-15 minutes do to the amazing graphics, detail and art), the cinematic experiences are great, and it is cool to open present boxes and bags, and it is moderately fun to play the parts that I am not wandering about, I believe that the bad outweighs the good, in this scenario. And in my opinion, the 5 night system is overall better than this current mmo story game system. Also, there are tons of bugs within the game, but I didn’t feel it was right to criticize based on that since it did JUST come out, although he could’ve used a beta or demo or something. Good day to you all, and thanks for reading. This is just my opinion and you are free to have your own! Cheers.
