This is a story about death. Abandoned and forsaken, left to die like Jesus on the cross. We'll all experience it one day. No God to help, just a lot of suffering. However, even atheists would pray to God in a life or death situation so don't understand why he didn't look up. Also, talking to oneself is totally normal. Our man did everything perfectly which is great but little things like falling from the mast and little human errors here and there would have made a difference.
