Just finished watching... It was entertaining, but if you're an 80's kid, like me, youll notice pretty quick, it feels like a mix of the previous flixs with a 21st century spin. I feel like the age of the actors leaves room for 2 more movies before we get to the original movie that started it all.

As a fan of the first Penny Dreadful (and even more so Eva Green) I am really trying on this one... It's a decent enough crime drama, but calling it "Penny Dreadful" just seems to miss the mark.. I watched the pre season trailers and was like.. Uh, doesn't seem PD to me, but again, was willing to commit for the shear love of the first one... I'm dual watching the original PD's On Demand to supplement this foolishness 😅 If they would have just billed it differently I feel like I wouldn't be so let down... My one saving grace is seeing John Claire aka OG Frankenstein's acting skills... He's not terrible. Anyway, I'm not loving it, but still tuning in each week in hopes that it will take off at some point... Not holding my breath though 😒

Rarely do I freestyle a movie without doing any pre funk first, but it's the holidays and I have the time so let's check it out... I thought the movie was pretty darn dope to be honest. Your boy stayed engaged the entire time with a lead actor who I didn't know; which is rare one for me... Quick synopsis is it was a very solid plot with solid acting. By the way, the robot seemed to be oldschool in the sense that it felt like someone was in a suit (but it wasn't corny in a suit). The haters will say it was slow and try to point out pointless flaws... I say give this flick a go. You won't be disappointed. Happy New Year 😉
