I think this film was very forgettable and uneventful. First of all, why did the sister hate James Marsden's character? It just seemed silly. And the rings just so happened to be left in the same place James Marsden was supposed to be moving to just because of his skin-tight shirt? And "starting a bar fight" was really on his bucket list? The film lacked emotional connection and sense. It had potential to be more heartfelt and even more comical, but unfortunately not even the jokes were that funny. James Marsden wasn't too bad, but I don't think even he could've salvaged this film. I am a fan of Jim Carrey, but he didn't shine in this film like he did in other films with similar roles, such as The Mask, in Batman as The Riddler or even in Unfortunate Events. I don't know if it was the script or his performance, but his character didn't have that comical yet evil quality that he is very capable of portraying. I didn't hate the film, but I feel it could've been a lot better. For me it's 2 stars.
