Good thing I didn't read this reviews or check the tomato meter before deciding to watch this movie. If I had, I most definitely wouldn't have bothered to watch it, and I would have missed out on a good movie. I get it that it's a franchise, it has prequels and people have expectations and all. But there are a few things I think worked so well for this story from a storytelling perspective. There's an A, B and C story thread to this story. A story being about a father and son trying to catch up on lost years and mending fences, B story being about a rookie "not really" FBI agent trying to unravel the mysteries surrounding the murder of his childhood friend. C story being about FBI crackdown of a terrorist group. These story threads could have been stand alone movie ideas for a bad movie, but this movie combined all three, and about 30 minutes into the movie, you have all three story threads come together seamlessly. There's even an angle I didn't talk about, there's a love story which makes it a D story inspiration. It's also light-hearted and d acting was over d top. I'd recommend this movie for any one who loves good movies. It's a must watch.
