Utterly absurd. Poor direction leading to cringe-worthy acting, terrible action sequences where it is obvious that shots are being layered over one another, canned, ridiculous dialog and really bad special effects - 1970s level stuff here. There is even a totally out of place prostitute in an Alaskan bar who looks like she just wandered in of the streets of LA...wonder what went on there during casting. Can't imagine. Billy Bob Thornton is out of place in such a manner that you feel sorry for him. All the girls in the movie wear full makeup and street clothes in the woods. They're good looking and appealing visually, but that speaks to the immaturity of the director and his low opinion of his audience. This may be the most poorly directed movie I have ever seen. The actors in this movie ought to be furious with him. The manner in which he envisions Alaskan culture is almost insulting, and I'm not even from Alaska. He should never make a movie again.
I could go on about just how dreadful this movie is, but I've already wasted an hour and twenty nine minutes of my life in this, so I'll end it right here. When a movie can't even find enough decent footage to go a full hour and thirty minutes, it ought to be obvious that something is wrong.
