An AMAZING read. I used to read books a lot when I was little, finishing them a few hours after I had just bought them. Over time, I lost my flow and got so engrossed in other forms of entertainment that I forgot reading even existed. It wasn't until I went back to school after quarantine that reading was shoved into my face. I tried getting back to reading but it just seemed boring to me. I ranted to my sister about how upsetting finding that out was. I remember telling her that maybe I needed something more mature. I finally decided to try to rekindle my love of reading by forcing myself to join a book club. The book they were in the process of reading happened to be Vicious. At first I was hesitant to start but as soon as I did I got entangled in the adventures of both of the characters. Honestly the only thing in the beginning that was driving me to finish it was the deadline. That was until I realized that the book kept on getting interesting. I loved the way the author laid everything out and added flashbacks connecting to the present. The intentions of all the characters were clear and they themselves were very complex. I'm still very stunned at the beautiful layout of the book, portraying perspectives of multiple characters and flashbacks when necessary. It was so good unlike anything I've ever read before. It felt like a cinematic experience and I could actually imagine this book as a movie. The book was so well planned out, I could have never thought of a concept or plot like this. I'm very impressed and I'm obsessed with the author's work. I will probably read more of her books as I try to continue on my path of reading. This book was as mature as I needed it to be and I'm glad I read it. I feel like mentioning the layout of the book again because I could rave about it for hours but it would just be a repeat of what I said in different words. I highly encourage anyone interested to definitely read it!! And appreciate the author's work while you're at it. :)
