I was skeptical at first, big Damon Wayans fan, but at the same time big lethal weapon fan. I first thought, damn Damon's too big a name to be playing Danny Glover's (another big name) role, Roger Murtaugh. Then when I first saw the character for Martin Riggs (Crawford), I'll admit I was disappointed. I only gave it two episodes and drifted from it. I somehow felt disappointed, more so how it felt as If Damon dropped status for the role, and the sorrow I felt they brought to Riggs' character. FLASH FORWARD... I recently come across season 3, and the introduction of the character Cole (Scott), whom I am also a big fan of and his work. So, naturally, I couldn't resist to see how Wayans and Scott co-starred together. After the first episode of season 3 I felt compelled to give it another shot from the beginning. The role of Riggs grows on ya a bit, more than you intentionally give credit for. I kinda wish they didn't (not gonna spoil it) take the path they did on dismissal of the role (could've left future appearances). More to the point, Wayans and Scott make this show worth watching! They are great on screen together. I have been hooked myself, and the show seems to only be getting better. My only downside is the character of Leo, (originally Pesci now Lennon ((from Reno 911/Dangle)), which really isn't bad. It's just an unexpected role, but again not a bad swap, just takes a minute to adjust (for those spoiled to the movies). Seriously though, I am very happy with how the show is progressing. The characters are awesome. All the stars and co-stars are amazing as well. I wish these guys all the luck and hope to see this show go on for quite a few more seasons! Wayans and Scott make a great on screen team! KUDOS TO THE GUYS AND THE REST OF CAST AND I HOPE TO SEE MANY MORE ADVENTURES!!!
