What a terribly boring movie! Watched it till the end to see if it was worth the watch and was very disappointed. For starters the movie was extremely dark — dark as in hard to visually see. Additionally, I felt as if the people were whispering all throughout the movie, not to add it felt like they lacked personality. It was all gravely depressing, from the scenery (gloomy cold weather) to the characters and the pace of the show. I thought for a minute, no wonder there is so much hatred and ugliness in many Europe countries, particularly the North. Their weather is only bound to make it’s people miserable and they reflect their own misery, disappointments, and short-comings on to others.
I also found myself distracted much too often and thinking about taking a nap due to the pacing of the plot and the monotone characters.
I also find that most of these films, especially in Europe allow me to get an inside in all the issues they have: pedophilia (which tends to be a prominent one) in addition to racism, etc. It’s out of wack over there, due to their own people, and not others.
When you sow hatred you can’t expect goodness. You reap what you sow.
