I want to say right away that I understand what the purpose of the movie is and its message is admirable. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the acting performance was very good. However, if the purpose of the movie is to send a social issue message either make the trailer truly reflect that or actually make the movie entertaining. My wife and I feel like we wasted two hours of our life watching this movie expecting a dramatic story after a lot of buildup as the trailer plainly suggested there would be. Instead, we got an immensely boring and mind-numbingly depressing experience with no climax whatsoever. I don't even understand how that is supposedly good story writing (isn't there supposed to be something called a climax?). This movie leaves you feeling unfulfilled and depressed with no resolution at the end. My main complaint is that the trailer needs to portray the film much clearer but I'm afraid if they did that nobody would watch it. This movie is poorly done and I want those two hours of my life back.
