One of the best overall literary/noir films I've seen in a while; great cast, character selection, solid writing, metaphors, double meanings, symbolism, great literary themes; true example of literature on film. Some may not catch or notice all the subtle nuiances of the film, if you do then you can enjoy it in all the ways it was meant to be, if you don't and are unable to understand literary films, you'll be lost after the first ten minutes and this may not be for you, but if you enjoy a good film and want substance then this is a can't miss.
