I grew up watching Tom and Jerry, big fan. :) The movie was good for the most part, I love the idea and I loved the animation but there are a few things I, as a fan, didn't like. This will be a bit of a rant, sorry. I liked the animation, the way they mixed real life with cartoon, it was very well done. I loved that they used some of the "classic" Tom and Jerry moves and scenes. :D but... I don't get the rap songs and the whole modern music thing and the singing pigeon. I miss the way they used music in the original cartoon, to portray emotion and mood. I loved that they used Tom's original screams. I didn't like that some animals could talk and Tom could sing but couldn't talk. And he sang with autotune... what? It also felt to me like Tom and Jerry are side characters and that the Antman dude and the blond chick are the stars of the show. I hated the animal abuse (even though they are cartoon animals) in the movie. People kept hitting and kicking Tom and it was portrayed like it's ok to do it, no one cared. Everyone treated him like a thing not a living being. I hated that Jerry cut the electrical wire with scissors and didn't get electrocuted and a couple of other physics related things that were inaccurate. I know it's a cartoon but some of the stunts were ridiculous. All in all it's an ok film to watch but it's not great. :(
