The Voice is the kind of show to watch if you like to be inspired by music, of course; but also if you like to watch people being kind and supportive of each other. Each of the coaches take such care to encourage their contestants. The performers are musically talented; but they also bring with them their own personal stories of pain and suffering from everyday life; such as the loss of a loved one, self doubt because of their looks or weight, or just something that makes them feel different or out of place with others. The coaches help them to overcome their self doubt and insecurities. It's an hour of emotional release for the watcher - you can be laughing out loud at something Blake Shelton or Kelly Clarkson says or you can be crying because you've just heard the most moving rendition of Amazing Grace. It's good for all ages and music really is good for the heart and soul.
