Perfectly scary film! I will not lie, guys. The jump-scares genuinely got me all of the time! They were really creative on how they delivered them, and also the transitions afterwards were really clever and well made. The main details about this film that I enjoyed were the foreshadowing on the main villain. For example, during one of the scenes in the bedroom, you see Slenderman's shadow emerge behind them. How scary! Furthermore, it is a very progressive film, as I thought all of the main characters were all diversified and well written. In addition to that, the main protagonists were all female, which should be a good standard for films to come. This is a good contrast to the new Ghostbusters film, which was criticised for having an all female cast, as the cost of good writing. This film delivers both; a good diverse cast and good detailed writing. Very good film and would recommend to anyone who is wanting to get into the genre! Good tidings and viewings! Conor, L., (2021).
