I wanted to love it, but didn’t. As the kid that watched this on VHS, rewinding it OVER AND OVER. I know it line by line. It was disappointing how altered the script was. They had a chance to make this amazing and failed. Scar wasn’t even the same character. They completely cut out his song and remade his personality for the worse. Lines and scenes were changed, cut short or replaced with different phrasing which was awful in many scenes. I understand it can’t be exactly the same. An it’s worth seeing maybe once it’s out for free. The beginning and some the scenes were really great. I just think they could’ve done a much more respectful imitation to the real movie. If you haven’t seen the original movie hundreds of times, you probably won’t notice the differences as much; an may enjoy it more than someone who was addicted to the movie! We saw this followed by Toy Story, if you have to choose take my advice and go see that instead 👍
