So many things wrong with this film it’s probably best to start with what was right about it. Good production quality. The sets, the ships, the clothes, the cgi, all of it looked decent. The acting was not bad however that’s not to say they were believable, compelling, or anything more then one dimensional but at least there was some skill displayed on the part of the actors to present and reasonable approximation of what a human being sort of seems like. Those are the two main points the film has going for it. If you are looking for an extremely superficially appealing film this might fit up your ally. I think the two main factors that made this film hard to enjoy where the script and the filmography. It somehow manages to be both confusing and predictable at the same time. It definitely gets worse the further in you get so if you find yourself thinking during the first half “maybe it will get better” it gets worse. Spoilers ahead** almost all the main characters die and the story does not effectively make any sort of a clear point about anything, the relationships don’t make sense, the premise doesn’t make sense.
If you’re looking for something maybe sort of like this to watch that is good try the
Dark Matter series
