Some spoilers ahead.
Heartwarming story, but plot was handled awkwardly. This is because the main conflict (ie the protagonist's failure) was near the end of the movie. This resulted in the film briefly stating that he worked hard, before winning once again, which was repetitive (as the protagonist already won many times by the time half of the film was gone). Plot was also very typical and predictable (I think I have used this plot a thousand times for my essays haha).
Some interesting scenes can be developed further rather than merely showing them briefly (such as the mother's neglect of her other son). Some scenes were repetitive, abrupt, or awkward.
Character development can be better.
There were also some illogical scenes present too.
Overall, a pleasant film, but has much more potential to fulfill.
