We should commend the efforts of the producers in bringing such formats into our screens. And it's grossly unfair to compare MC Aus or MC Can or any such as the whole environment there is different from cooking,ingredients , processes etc. Indian cooking is more by approximations and not by techniques. So we can notice a lot of western influence to give an international touch. It tries too hard to achieve that. Having said that the show is taking itself too serious. The judges are too serious the contestants are consumed with anxiety on their faces and the whole atmosphere is tense. It needs an element of humor to keep the mood light. Chef Kaushik always looks too gaunt , Chef Aartis approach is too scripted and the other judge is exacting. Hopefully next season would smoothen out the corners. I agree VJS is wasted. The heroes are the chefs not actors
