I'm interested in how 'original RE' fans are all about high horsing this game. RE 1-3 weren't about establishing some dogmatic precedent. RE 1 created a whole new genre which 2 and 3 built upon. RE 4 changed the genre again with 3rd person over the shoulder. RE 5 and 6, what can I say, good action games anyway. RE 7 went back to the horror roots to where it was literally too scary for some people to play, and the first person component changed the game AGAIN. Now, on to the review: all I can say and all that I think needs to be said is that RE (8) Village calls back to RE 4 while adding all that was great about RE 7, even if it's less scary. Beautiful, horror, Resident evil.
