Charming, funny, sweet, sincere, and surprisingly honest about society. I adore this movie. Not only does it have stunning visuals and character designs and feature a beautiful, adventuresome score by Geoff Zanelli, it is so RARE in media to see a plus-sized girl who loves herself and is confident in who she is from the very beginning, with no real desire to change herself (despite what you may think at first glance of this movie).
In this film, it's actually the male love interest that is insecure and has the desire to change how he looks, and it is HIM who has to learn to love himself, and to see the good things in himself and others besides just outer appearances. Through Snow White, he learns that yes, looks are one of the things that make you ‘you', and that should be celebrated, but you are also made up of your personality and actions, and you have to love and accept the whole package. The most beautiful people in the world are the people you love, including yourself.
