My problem with the movie is entirely with Jules. ***SPOILERS AHEAD*** Jules and Jackie are around the same size but of course Jackie would have the upper-hand due to psychotic killer adrenaline. Even still, Jules had so SO many chances to win during this movie. Starting with when she was on the boat traveling across the lake, shes rowing backwards so when Jackie was gaining on her, she could have easily taken that stick and slammed it right across the back of Jackies head. When Jules told sara what happened to her and Jackie bust in the house, Jules simply screamed and watched sara get chased up the stairs, and then Jules just sat on the couch.... but hey at least she told sara to “RUNNNN”. very lame. Not to mention she could have once again attacked Jackie from behind during this scene, tripped her up the stairs or SOMETHING. but side note i also think sara is lacking survival skills as well... if sara (and jules) wouldn't have made it so obvious that she knows what happened then maybe they could have hatched up a better plan. sara should have laughed or something to not be so suspicious. and dude... WHAT DID SARA TRIP AND FALL OVER?! Lets not forget when Jules was able to successfully attack Jackie with the tranq..... and she thought it'd be a good idea to run out of the car, and back to the freaking cliff... and when she GOT to the cliff, she backed HERSELF closer to the edge because jackie was literally nowhere near her to back her up. WOW Lastly... WHY was it smart at all for Jules to turn back after getting the upper hand on Jackie. you did ALL that just to get thrown off the dang cliff again. Jules could have gotten away, notified police, Jackie wouldn't have gotten far because SHE HAS NO CAR NOW, and that could have been it. so WHY did she go back... Jackie did have a satisfying death but it would have been more satisfying if jules was at least there to see it. but the ONLY good thing i can take from this movie is Jackie, and the actress that portrayed her... did a phenomenal job. and for what its worth, aside from the extremely annoying “CAW CAW CAW” coming from Jules every other scene, Jules actress did a great job too. The actresses did great. but Jules character... thats on the directors and story writers.
