This could be one of the worst remakes ever made in the history of world cinema, not sticking to the original plot and made fool of audience. I recommend you to watch the original Malayalam version Manichitratazhu which had ensemble cast lead by mohanlal and Shobana. She got national award too.. Sorry I couldn't give 0 rating so giving 1 for showing 30 ft big snake which Tamil ppl never saw 😂 ..

This movie is inspired from many Tamil movies such as Devar Magan(Rayappan bigil scenes), Baasha(Interval block), Raja rani(Marriage scene), Irudhi Suttru (motivation) , Kanaa(similarity in match concept ) , Chak de India(countless scenes) , Dangal (where bigil gets arrested during match), Anjaan (kidnapping sheroff) , Nayagan (emotion between father and son), Vallinam (Blackmail) , Bhadri (coach gets attacked by goons) and M Kumaran. Atlee again proves that the story doesn't matter when you have star power like Vijay on board .. ARR rahman wasted big time, Audience taken for granted since football scenes looks VFX and uninspiring , lot of characters were un utilised, Vijay has a lot of scope to perform but storyline doesn't empower women rather humiliates womenhood . Overall below average movie which only entertains hardcore vj fans.

This is one of the worst political thriller ever made in Tamil cinema, everyone are aware of the current political situation in Tamilnadu and why the hell did the director trying to project ruling part in bad light adding fuel to fire by showing people protesting against govt and burning freebies which is ridiculous. Vijay's mannerism is the biggest minus and music doesn't live up to the expectation.
