I read the book immediately before watching the movie and I truly feel the movie missed the mark in every way. Everything from the characters physical descriptions (including even some of the characters names) to important plot lines/events. The biggest sore spot is the complete lack of fire between the 2 leads and how rushed the movie is. The lead male has a terrible haircut as well which was really distracting for me. If you’re watching the movie having never read the book I think it would probably be a passable love story though.
