Excellent adaption of the Philip Pullman Trilogy. The movie was good but this series gives the characters and the story room to breathe.

Initially i wasn't sure about this series but it has really grown on me. The characters have developed well and the storyline has been strong. The Dr Smith character has been updated well and is believably evil and devious. One star docked for the the rather formulaic episode format - crisis - Mum to the rescue with he help of one of the kids. Overall a great show - hoping for a 3rd series.
