The storyline is an insult because it grossly misrepresents the actual Indian culture. The dinner scene at the Pankot Palace is a salient example of such ludicrous depictions as eating live snakes and "eyeball" soup. It puts the existing, rich culinary culture in a bad light by showing something that in fact, doesn't exist. It sticks to the horrible stereotypes and even promotes them. Almost feels like an attempt to target and tarnish a culture and seems intentional in many ways. Horrible.
